Originally, we started making and playing around with ingredients solely to help our kids who had one skin condition or another. Combining our many years of experience in the industry, we thought surely we could develop something useful that would help our skin sensitive prone kids. We decided that if we combined some savvy science ingredients with some of nature’s best known resources that we could create something worthwhile for just about anyone.
All Scienza Skincare products are made right here in New Zealand.
We really didn’t know if anyone would like them, so we developed a couple products and gave out lots and lots of samples to friends and family for review, and the return feedback was fantastic. So this took away the feeling of crossing your fingers and hoping that the stuff you make works on any skin type and is safe to put on our bodies.
Because our friends and family loved them so much – and they can be the most critical of critics – it made us realise that there was room for our products in the market. At the end of the day, people just want great skin; and they want it at a reasonable cost, and they don’t want products to hurt the planet in the process.
Scienza Skincare is born!
Scienza Skincare was founded in 2013 to create skin care remedy products, with ingredients sourced locally and internationally, that are proudly developed and made in New Zealand. Scienza means ‘science’ in Italian, but what we really like about the name Scienza is what it means to us “a sprinkle of Science and a splash of Nature” combined and made New Zealand!
